I've found that a chicken waterer works good as a multi- feeder.Make sure to put some pebbles in front of the hole where the syrup comes out to keep the bees from going in the jug when it gets empty.I've found this slows down on the robbing if put in a common area[out of a common path]

you are also feeding every bee in the area-wild/neighbors and wasps/yellow jackets/hornets. i prefer to feed just my own with inner feeders and have zero robbing caused by feeders, but i've got time(retired) and little money. that said, it all comes down to personal preference. glad it works for you.
good luck,mike

I agree with Mike and like my feeders in the hives. Keeps them out of the sun, still can feed in poor weather, helps prevent robbers, and dosent feed the pests. Its all a matter of what you perfer i guess, I see where the outside feeder would be easier to refill though.
