My wildlife camera caught a bear mother and her two cubs checking out my hives. So far my "bearproofing" has worked but I will probably have to put some electric up in the fall.

I would get an electric fence now - I wouldn't be able to sleep without one protecting my hives.

Great video. I wouldn't enjoy bears by my hives, bit still they are a great part of nature to watch.

I am with Adrian, get electric on them asap. I can smell a bee yard from 20 yards away or more And a bear has 10 times better sense of smell than a man, they will be back you can bet on it. that sweet smell will become irresistible. Kewl Video Though.

just mama teaching her cubs how to evaluate how much honey is available, probably won't be back until there is enough honey and brood to make it worth her while. right
