I would love to read The Hive and The Honey Bee. If I bought it, I would never take the time to read the whole thing. Are books like this available anywhere as an audio book? A book & audio combo would be great to have.

I have looked around a little bit, but I am not familiar with audio books. So, I am not really sure where to look or what to look for. I see lots of them available for the kindle, but I am not familiar with that either. I wouldnt know if that thing does audio of the text or not.

Does anyone have any information on this topic? I would love to get some of the literature from the early studies about beekeeping. But, if I was to sit down with a book, I would fall asleep and then never finish the things. I would just waste my money and never get any of the information.

I am a car commuter and listen to lots of audio books. When I recently got into beekeeping I hunted around for audiobooks about beekeeping but didn't find a ton of great resources. Audible.com has a few but this is probably what you found searching on your kindle. I did enjoy From A to Bee but it wasn't super informative, more just a fun story about one man becoming obsessed with bees. Swarm Traps and Bait Hives: The Easy Way to Get Bees for Free looks interesting but I haven't listened to it. Maybe Bees in America: How the Honey Bee Shaped a Nation is what you are looking for?
