In Europe velutine hornet is not only dispersed by natural pathways. For example when it entered in Portugal it was about 600 km away. Everything points to their arrival in a cargo of imported timber transported from the Pyrenees mountains on the border between Spain and France.I’m in Michigan, hopefully they take their time getting here lol.
