Thank You. Temps are like high. 85'ish. And gave them 50 grams. I took it out. Ill wait for temps in the 70's

 

I had that problem last year. It got alot hotter than expected and ran them out.

 

Apiguard and high temps are a bad combination. It can also kill brood. I wanted to use it in single box nucs, and learned it was too hard on the brood. More air space helps to reduce its dangers, but in the end, I decided against using it.

 

People have managed to have honey with a hint of that aroma!
If the bees pack away stores while that is on, some of it can get moved up into honey supers next season.

I will take oxalic acid by any of number of different application methods.

 

When I do use it my lids already have a 3/4" shim on it and i add another feeder shim to give extra space to properly ventilate and to keep as much extra radiant heat from it possible
