Curious if any of you bloggers are using WordPress, and if you would recommend it. I'm looking for something simple to set up, and not too complicated for editing and updating.
Someone set it up for me but it is simple enough for me to use...which means really simple.
For our blog I use blogger not Wordpress...use wordpress for a basic website.
Wordpress is good, I am very pleased. A basic page can be established quickly, some advanced features will require research among the open course community. Here is our clubs page using wordpress.
I use it for Beesource. Fairly easy to use yet quite powerful. A target for hackers and spam, so make sure you take a few precautions to close some of those doors.
WordPress is very easy to customize because of the many available themes (look and feel) and plugins (functionality) - you can do almost anything within reason that you might want without knowing any code at all. Our club website www.Cookevillebeekeepers.com is on WordPress. Also your web host probably has one click installation through a C-panel app like softalicious, and the latest version of WP actually keeps itself updated without your intervention. Which is pretty excellent.
