My kids eat lots of salsa, and I was hoping to use the jars. Perfect size. but the lids smell like garlic even after DW and bleaching. Suggestions, or just recycle and get new? Ummmm-- I love garlic honey.....

I use the Prego jars for honey we eat at home.

You might try putting lemon juice on the inside of the lid. Might try vinegar. Just let either one sit there for a good while.

Good idea: will try it. A little sunshine won't hurt, either, if/when we ever see it again here in central Ohio.

I use pickle jars, clean with Lemon juice.....fill with syrup and flipp'em. Works GREAT!

if you look for products that use canning jars you could use them pints and qts.always use new lids on them. using pickle jars will ferment honey.
watch for odd jars they aren't full size quarts or pints.
