I'm looking for one, but have no clue as to which brands are good, options I should look for, and problems/limitations. Anyone here have one? Do you like it?

My notebook failed at EAS last summer, so I went o Wal-Mart and bought an Acer for $400. Within weeks, it dropped to $300. No matter. I am delighted with it. It may not be as fast as my dual cores, but it is my number one machine. Right now, it is driving a 20" monitor in front of me.

I am using an Acer too. Liked the price $550 +/- at the time. Then I looked up the reviews. Got good reviews so I bought it. Got it at Best Buy. Had it 3-4 years now. No problems at all. Bought my FIL one too. My model is Acer "Aspire" 5570-2609.

On a side note. My 1 yr old dumped a full glass of tea on it a couple weeks ago. It was acting strange for a day or so. Once it dried out...like nothing ever happened. I am using it right now.
