I saw a drone about a week and a half ago. Today I've noticed they are walking the combs but not really flying much. I did my first graft a few days ago.
I'm in Southern Ontario, about the same weather as much of Michigan.

I'm an hour south of you, I noticed my first drones about 2 1/2 weeks ago, plenty are flying now. Start spliting, by the time your virgin queens emerge and start mating flights (20+ days) you'll have plenty of drones.

Found one dead on the landing board Mon. Two live ones today, didn't look like the were ready to fly though.
