I have a honey super on a hive, it is 3/4 full of cappe honey. I need to put another supper on. My question is should I put a second super on top of it or below it??
it will make very little difference in the amount of honey you get. the comb may stay a LITTLE whiter if the new one is closer to the entrance. good luck, mike
It does not make much of a difference, I usually just throw the next super on top of the stack. We have tried putting the new supers on the bottom of the "super stack" with no noticeable difference.
Or, if you have the time you could divide the honey frames up between the two supers, every other frame. This keeps it opened up a little in both boxes and eliminates a honey "dome".
