Hi all:
I have been around Honey Bees since I was twelve. I did not start to actively keep bees until 2003 when I inherited my maternal grandfather's colonies and equipment.
I am a horticulturist and have done some academic work in entomology. My interests in bees is as much about them as it is about their interactions with plants.
We have two colonies, both are from feral swarms. The last swarm was hived two weeks ago in a neighborhood near us. They appear to be building up well and doing well.
