Wondering the date on this mill. It was my grandfather's. He was a beekeeper in middle Tn since the 40's. Triune area. We found it cleaning out one of his old bedrooms it's a nice old piece. Thanks in advance. I hve more pics.
Funny you posted this-about a month ago I need some shallow boxes and went to my local guy (who is also a Mann Lake distributor), to pick up a box of knock downs. He's also a large-scale commercial guy and a bit of a farmer-pack rat. He handed me a box of AI Root shallow boxes that was unopened, still had a paper bag of nails and the instruction inside. I have to say that these were the nicest boxes I have bought since having bees-the wood was clear, straight, slightly thicker than most new stuff and perfectly rabbited- kind of a shame to used them but I needed more top feeders. I understand that the Company got out of wooden ware in the late 60's or 70's.
