Anyone have experience with some sort of agitator or mixer in their sump before it gets pumped into spin float??? Having a more even mixture between the wax and honey?
We use a low rpm gear motor mounted overtop on the sump with a steel shaft that reaches almost to the bottom with a truck radiator fan on it. It pulls the honey up from the bottom if you mount the fan in the correct direction. Mixes the honey slowly and consistent.
Yes, years ago we had a rectangular tank with a round bottom, with a horizontal shaft with cement mixer style paddles. It did help, mostly preventing a clog in the Moyno pump.
