This a brand new hive with three 10 frame mediums well occupied with bees, more brood and several frames of honey mixed in. I am ready to add my first (medium) super but the frames are not drawn- will be inserted with starter strip only. Should I pull up the frames of nectar/honey from the brood boxes and put empty frames in their place for more brood space? I am not using a queen excluder and my thought is that this may help reduce the chance of brood being laid in my super.

Thanks!

Jeanine
