Are you able to tell by looking when comb is right side up?

I have a bunch of empty comb pieces that I’d like to frame up and use in new or expanding hives . I know about the tilt up, but other than putting water in to see if it runs out, is there a way I can know by sight if I have pieces going in the right direction? Can they fix it if I put it in wrong--if I put it in sideways or upside down by accident? Thanks.

yes they will tear them down and repair but really what are you trying to gain by this. Unless the comb is full of brood dont bother. Feed the new hives and they will build comb fast

Just look at a cross section of comb and you will be able to see the angle much better. Take a piece of the comb and slice a sliver of it off at the edge of the comb.
