What's the best way to add bees to a weak queenright split? Shake them in? Move over frames? Newspaper combine?

I have done it by adding a frame of brood with nurse bees (make sure the queen is not on the frame) the nurse bees are not seen as a threat and just go about their business.

How many colonies do you have? Sometimes you can just switch the location of the hives (during the daytime of course) and the weaker one will get the field bees. Depending on other factors it is best to equalise colony numbers. Personally I have never found this top be practical but I do try to keep them all close to the same as far as number of bees per square inch of hive space.

Move over frames of bees and brood. Like stated earlier, make sure the queen doesnt go with them.
