I use a ProVap 110 and probably always will but I am curious about those using Thyme oil to kill varroa mites. How do you use it? Recipes? How long you use.I have been curious how you people use it and what your results have been.

Look up the Apiguard and ApiLife Var products. I believe Apiguard is the more popular of the two and is supposed to work very well. I'm going to give it a try next year. I really like OAV but it's too labor intensive with more than a few hives.

I have good experience with Api Life Var. But it's temperature dependent and you should use it while temp is still in 60 at least.

I was trying to see what thyme oil users were doing not Apiguard and ApiLife Var products.
Thymol is the active ingredient in both products. Not sure what you're after here. :s

I have seen where some have used thyme oil itself and wondered how people were using it.Some are using it because thyme oil is way cheaper than Apivar.I was curious as to how they were using the oil.
