A lesson from the bees...

My hive 1 has the most active bees. That was the 4 pond package. The population is growing. Hive 2 is the 3 pound package. That population is also growing. Hive 1 is always busy, and the bees always fly around in a cloud when I go into the hive. Hive 2 seems much less active, and when I go in they pretty much ignore me. Hive 1 is much less productive when compared to hive 2. There is not as much brood or honey stored. Hive 2, while not very active, has much more of both. It reminds me of people I know. Some are always busy, getting little done. However, the ones who look like they aren't doing much get the most work done.
