I would like to ask your opinion on a combining question. I had a queenless hive with 4 deep frames of bees+honey that I newspaper combined with
my other hive that has a deep and a super. So, I have a deep, a super and a deep. They combined fine but the bees on the top deep (coming from the
queenless hive) did not move down, and neither did the honey. Question: How can I move them and the honey down to the super? There is space in the super. I do not want to leave the combined hive with too much space because of possible SHB problems. I think a super and a deep ought to accomodate all the bees. How would you proceed? Thanks a lot,
Stavros

If you don't have room in the bottom deep to move the honey, then brush the bees off the 4 frames and store the frames in your freezer. Take the top deep off. Give them back the honey, if needed, for winter or spring feed.
