Like the title says I have 2 nucs that arrived Monday.

I looked into them today and found open brood down to eggs in one (no queen though) Not a LOT of brood. Just about 1/4 of a side of open larvae and what I saw to be about 1/4 side of eggs. Didn't look much more past finding the eggs.

The second one has no open brood and about a 6" circle left of capped brood. No eggs in sight.

Seeing how I found open brood and eggs in one hive, how feasible would it be to take their only open brood frame from hive 1 and give it to hive 2?

Other than that I need a queen. Is there anyone near Oregon that has queens available?

Thanks for the advice.

Just got off the phone w/ the seller.

He said just bring it back and he'll swap it out. I told him they were installed Monday and he said 'No problem. Swing on by this evening and I'll just kick you another nuc..

He says just put the 5 frames from this nuc in the center of the others and I'll have a really strong colony.
