I installed two new hives on may 13th. I gave them both partial frames of wax from a dead out swarm from last year. One hive started bringing in pollen a lot faster than other but the other started laying more brood than other. I figured it would all end up the same in the long run. After inspection this morning the hive that started foraging stronger has 4 full frames of capped brood in the super and the one that started off laying more brood barely has 2 frames in super and it looks patchy or spotty. Should I requeen this time of year or just let it ride.
I see you're from Texas. Up north (New Haven, here), now is not too late to requeen. I presume it's not too late in TX, but don't know your circumstances well enough to advise.
