How so? Did you try to drink it right after racking? Mead needs three months in the secondary and at least a month or two after bottling, or so they say. Around six months from start to drinkable. After this batch goes to the secondary, I will be making some wine that I can enjoy while this batch is still aging. When I had some extra "play" honey, I made mead..... it was the most disgusting thing ever.
Oh great, no pressure there! What if I screw up?I'm following your endeavor hoping that I can try again.
That is a disaster. You should have bottled it and opened a bottle 8 to 10 months later. Make your Christmas mead in February.…it was the most disgusting thing ever and I pitched it and have zero inclination to try again.
What a disaster that was!
