1 month in in 8 frame medium foundationless. The only issue right now is a bunch of wonky wide comb they built and stored honey in the tops before the queen got laying. my 2nd box has some nice straight comb so i reversed them in hopes of the top box becoming honey filled. I will probably put the 3rd box in between when they have drawn out the rest of the bottom.

Did see a whole bunch of capped and open brood.. plenty of nectar and pollen so at least functionally they are doing well... just need to get the comb situation fixed.

Love the wax scales picture. I never realised they formed at a 120 degree angle like that... so that is the blueprint for each corner of a cell?

Yea.. i was like stay stay stay stay! while getting the picture in focus and getting the shot.

Anyone see any issue with reversing the boxes like I did? The top is now has most of the 8 frames 75-90% drawn to the edges. the bottom has 3-4 frames in various degrees of being drawn.
