vegetable oil

Hello All, I have a mild small hive beetle problem and I like to know what is your experience using Beetle Blaster kind of traps and what vegetable oil do you use for those kind of shb traps. Also found on ebay a scented oil for Beetle Blaster traps...

I read a suggestion to use RV antifreeze in place of vegetable oil in SHB tray traps to drown them. The logic was the RV antifreeze is non toxic (to humans) and much cheaper. Does anyone have any other information on this. Non toxic to us doesn't necessarily mean the girls can stand...
