My plum tree is 24' away from my hive. It's blooming for 2 days now.
I don't see any of my bees there. They're working as usually foraging, bringing in pollen and what not. But not a single bee on my plum! Some other insects, but no bees.
Is this normal?
We have a plum tree within 15' of a hive and I haven't seen bees on it. Bees fly right over it to go elsewhere for food. Then I saw a post suggesting bees don't forage near their hive. Is this really true?
