Mixing sugar with corn syrup

I recently bought about half a drum of type 55 corn syrup. I have about 50 pounds of granulated sugar left. Can I mix up the sugar into 1to1 and mix it in the corn syrup? I would cool the sugar syrup before. Ive heard it is a no no to get the corn syrup hot.:no: The corn syrup has HBH in it and would like to take advantage of that fact.

Hi Mike,
I have been doing this type of feeding for over 5 years, I find the key is not to heat the HFC 55 and daytime temps should be warm enough so the bees are able to fly. This is one way to cut feeding cost and not hurt the girls.

So the HFC-55 what is the mix of water to make it 1:1?

I also mixed these two together when feeding in the fall. I makes a great feed. You are giving them three types of sugars that they will store and stimulate them a little also. It also helps keep the sugar from molding but so does the HBH.

No, I want to make 1to1 sugar water and add that to the corn syrup. I think i found a better super secret formula from a member of this site that I plan on using. Don't ask me, can't tell you. :shhhh:
