Hi
I'm in process to wax dipping my woodenware and I'm interested if anyone used 55gal steel drum as dipping tank
To build 1 is little to price and im looking for alternatives. I can get steel drum for $20 localy cut it myself and save some $$ to buy the wax
I'm thinking to used it outside whit good propane burner

Have not, but do not see why it would not work. Doubt it would last as long as a thicker tank. Have you tested to see if you can fit more than one box at a time? Rectangular tanks can do three deeps at once, two stacked and a third on edge inside the others. So much more efficient.

Have been pricing metal myself and shocked at how high even 1/8" is. Oddly a full 4' x 8' sheet is only a little higher than a half sheet.
