Hi,

Don't know where else to ask this but figured this is as good a place as any. Discovered a bee/wasp in the house and looking out the window there seems to be a colony in our window frames..little holes where the bees/waspa are flying in and out. I'm attaching a photo, if someone can tell me what kind of creature this is, I wouldn't highly appreciate it. Thanks!

Looking more closely, it actually appears to be a "european paper wasp" and not a yellow jacket. The giveaways are the orange-color antennae and the black mandibles. Apparently they are now invasive to the USA primarily in the northeast, but there may be more unreported states. Here is a link to the wiki page with pictures.
