    Default Fluvalinate Strips Safe?

Thanks for looking over my question.

I wanted to know if Fluvalinate Strips for Varroa Mites are safe and effective. From looking at the price differences between Fluvalinate Strips and some of the others, I'm guessing Fluvalinate Strips has some issues, but I wanted to check here. I am aware they come from China as well. I did google the topic, but I was not able to get a clear answer.

I'm also looking at using Oxalic acid, but for the cost of the Fluvalinate Strips (20 strips for $3.99 /eBay) I thought I see if they are a viable option.

    TIA

There is very wide, documented mite resistance to fluvalinate. Very few people use it anymore as it is no longer efficacious. It also contaminates everything in the hive (wax, pollen, etc.) and it does not degrade (hence the mite resistance).

Thanks for the reply, and apologies that I took so long to respond.

I suspected something was up with it due to the lack of people even talking about it much.
