    Greg,
I have seen tinctures for sale on E-Bay, but I don't know what they are used for or the claims made. That will be easy enough to find.

Now that's a new one on me. Thanks for posting the photo- it will be interesting to see how this progresses if you don't mind posting an update.

Here is a picture taken today.

Looks like they're about finished. If they leave a hole big enough to get my caliper through, I'll see how thick it is.

That's new to me, as well. I've seen a lot on the interior in different ways, but not on the outside.

I'm cleaning up boxes. The daughter hive I mentioned above was knocked over a few days ago and had laid open. I think they will make it but I shrank them to a deep & medium.

Looks like she will also make lots of propolis. I hope she does better with honey.

I had a 5x5x5 blow over in a storm one time, luckily it was strapped together, and I knocked one over with the lawn mower, once. Both times they were not appreciative of my efforts to make things right.

    Hope yours make it.

I'm going to start cleaning boxes as soon as this coming rain passes. I think I'll save mine as well.

There is a race of bees that I had many years ago, known for their propensity to produce propolis. The very dark Caucasians, very gentle, not great producers of honey. They don't look like the ones shown in this thread. I believe that there is someone who has recently started to sell them again. OMTCW
