Default Hairy vetch for honney bees

I wander what experience others have with hairy vetch. It grows very well where I have my bees, but bees simply ignore it. I'm happy to provide pasture for bumblebees, but why honey bees don't use it? Sure, when there is some clover around I can see why they would go for better nectar. But why bumblebees don't? Late in summer/fall not that much clover, they still ignore it.
It looks like the flower in hairy vetch needs longer proboscis to get to nectar and only bumblebees have it long enough. I wander if Caucasian bees (who claimed to have very long proboscis) would be able to use it.

Would common vetch which has shorter flower shaft be better for bees?
