Smile New Bee looking to learn

Hello, I am new here on this site. I am a wanna bee beekeeper. I want to learn more about beekeeping before I acquire my
my first hive. I am fascinated with beekeeping and have a nephew who is a veteran, farmer and beekeeper in PA. He's given me a little advice and told me to try to meet local groups in my area. Anyone know of any beekeepers clubs or mentoring groups I can find in Citrus Springs FL?

Welcome to Beesource Becky. I don't know about Citrus Springs, but I am fairly certain Ocala has an active bee association.or two. You may need to drive a few miles to take beginner classes but it will be well worth the effort. Good luck and be sure sure to order your first bees early. Now is the time to prepare.
Thankfully, the bees are smarter than I am. They are doing well, in spite of my efforts to help them.

Thank you! I will look into the Ocala area for a bee association.
