I agree with everything said before. One thing: make sure your hive is "dead level". Actually use a bubble level on it (there's an iphone app if you don't own one). It should be level side to side, and also level front to back. You'll appreciate this later when your bees build absolutely straight comb.
Amen to that! Love my KTBH’s and they love me for being mindful of their need to be “ dead level”.
