Woke up this morning to see the neighbor scraping his frosted windshield.

Guess our first frost was last night!
The question is what to do, and the answer, as always, is complicated by a muddle of reason, emotion, and doubt.

We reached out freezing points on Oct 12-14, 2019.
There was ice in the buckets and bird basins.

Not the killing frost just yet - the dandelions are still blooming in the parks.
We will still have few sunny days with some pollen flow.

South end of the Salt Lake valley, 23 (-5C) on October 10. Sunday was sunny and warm again, today 73 (23C). Saturday will be 32 (0C).

The hard freeze essentially terminated the pollen flow, but they are finding and bringing in pollen.
