White area on back - is this normal?

    Default White area on back - is this normal?

    I'm finding quite a few bees like the image posted above. Is this just something they are bringing in, like pollen, or something more dire?

    we have been seeing it for the last two weeks in S.E. Wisconsin also. White pollen stripe. Queen Anne's lace, and wild cucumber are blooming. I will try to look at the pollen unde a microscope when it gets cold.

    Yes, and "Touch me not" is also blooming. I will get a sample of that to compare also.
