Default What to do about missing queen and no brood

Maybe my hive split or the queen died, but I have a hive with no brood. The bottom and top super's have lots of honey. The bee population is dwindling quickly.

Add to that I'm leaving town in 7 days, so I have limited time to do something.

    What's the best move?

I'm located in Dallas, TX if that makes a difference. It's hot, hot, hot here right now.

Yes. I have four hives. Only one is missing a queen.

a frame or two of brood and eggs from the others might tide them over and allow for the making of a new queen while you are away.

or you could harvest the honey, shake out what's left of the dwindled colony, and let them join up with the other 3.
