    Default Alcohol shaker gasket?

When I do a shake the alcohol leaks pretty bad. I am showing a very low mite count using this and was concerned that maybe I am throwing them on the ground or they are getting caught in one of the leaks. I made a couple of the randy Oliver Alcohol with peanut butter jars and some #8 hardware cloth. Wbat can I use for a gasket that will not trap what I am attempting to monitor.

Make up a pint mason jar tester. When shaking use a lid, when pouring the liquid off insert a piece of your #8 mesh.

I have a bunch of them for the powdered sugar test. From what I have seen they splash the alcohol up through the screen to was the mites down below. I do not mind deviating from the norm but I want to start there.
    I think I just need a gasket.
