    Default Dragonfly swarms

    Apparently, dragonflies can swarm.
I found this rather accidentally while looking how much impact the dragonflies can inflict onto the bees (disrupting mating and such)

Well, a swarm of dragonflies can inflict some significant impact.
    Here is a good read:

    Default Re: Dragonfly swarms

Few days ago I witnessed and even took a picture of..
... of a huge dragonfly dragging down another huge dragonfly and eating it.

So the big green one is eating alive the one with brown-with-blue-lines.
It grabbed it somewhere over the tennis court and pinned down to the wire fence.
Holding it from behind and just chomping off the pieces off the head.
    Live.

Eventually, getting tired of my picture taking, the green dragon flew off with his/her catch someplace else, more quiet, to eat.

    Now, that's brutal.
At this rate, the bees are just chewing gum.
