SW Ohio has been bad for farmers, good for my bees. Yes lots of rain, yes weeks late, but the blooms have been steady and I did a better job of hive management this year. Muddy farm fields never got plowed, so the purple deadnettle and mustards had a full bloom. Black locust bloom went on and on and I got a bumper crop from it. Put the supers back on after extracting and the strongest hives have filled a couple more. Clover is starting to fade a bit, but still plenty around. All in all a great honey year here.
