    Default Newbies from MN

Father/son combo in first year of the hobby. Currently dealing with our first set back of 1 hive swarming and now waiting for it to re-queen. Our fault as we were babying them with sugar water I believe. Other then that everything has gone smooth. Started with one 3lb and one nuc. Our city ordinance only allows 2 hives so that may become a problem next season. Looking forward to sharing and receiving information on this forum!

Welcome and good luck on the requeening. You might want to consider finding and opening a out yard, I have four plus a quarantine yard all within five miles of home.

Yes another yard was something we were even talking about before we started, and seeing how fast hives can flourish first hand it will be a must. Plenty of land 5-10 miles away, just need to get the right connections

How far are you from Marshall. Head up there every year to see my mother.

Big state for sure, nice though.
