Default 1ST Swarm caught in trap

Small swarm caught in a 5 frame nuc box. Box was placed on the side of the house about 7 feet high. Had 5 oldish frames in it and 2 squirts of Swarm Commander. 1st time catching a swarm with a trap and the lure. Free bees are great!

Excellent! People will tell you that a single nuc won't attract swarms, but they will. My first swarm caught this year was in a single nuc trap.

Your right. I also kept hearing about how the trap must be a hollow cavity too. This nuc had 5 fully drawn frames in it also. The bees know better than us!
