My bees swarmed Thursday it rained on them Thursday though Saturday. I captured them in a box and awaited a new hive to arrive Sunday. Placed them in the new hive with LGO Sunday afternoon, in 3 hours they swarmed again.

With no information about the hive you put them in, other than you put Lemon Grass Oil? in it, hard to make any informed comment why they might have left.

However the lemon grass oil may have been too powerful and driven them out, or a common reason newly hived swarms leave is because the sun shines on the hive and makes it too hot in there, before they have had time to work out their ventilation system.

Brand new langstroth hive with yellow waxed RiteCell foundation from amazon

It was a mild overcast day maybe 78F, sun already past and throwing shade on the hive from nearby fence.

Well looks like the sun was not an issue, but with that entrance restrictor plus the lemongrass oil it may have been abit overpowering for them in there.
