Default Selling Nuc out of established hives to downsize

This spring has been excellent in producing bees and queens through splits. Now I have more bees than I want or can handle when the weather gets hot.

I sold a couple of nucs but now I'd like to still downsize some more. I run two 8 frame deeps with honey supers on top. How feasible would it be to just pull the queen with 5 of the best frames out of the hive and sell a nuc out of the existing colony? I don't want to sell off my equipment (as in selling established hives with boxes). I just want to sell off some frames, bees, and combine the other frames into other colonies for less total hives.

    Thoughts?

Yes, it's basically just doing a Split. The Hive will make queen cells to replace the Queen.
