Default Quality Equipment- Brushy Mountain replacement?

    HI,
I have equipment mostly from Brushy Mountain (out of business). I loved the quality of their equipment... I have tried other vendors (Mann lake, etc.) but, I find that there was a noticeable difference, albeit at a cost, in the quality of the equipment.

If anyone has/had noticed this and has found a replacement vendor that has similar quality as Brushy Mountain... can you respond or message me?

    Thanks!

Which equipment specifically? The frames from Mann Lake are exactly the same as the ones BM sold and are much less expensive. All my original equipment was from BM so I compare everything I buy to their stuff. Kelly's select grade boxes are top notch and I prefer them over ML boxes, but the cost difference has me buying the ML boxes.
Thankfully, the bees are smarter than I am. They are doing well, in spite of my efforts to help them.

If I order online I go to Mann Lake (some of their stuff is available AmazonPrime as well). Miller Bee Supply is my other favorite. They're only about the same distance as Brushy Mountain was from me (techncially they are farther away but they're on a state road rather than having to zig-zag up the mountain roads to the mountain top where BM was).

Interesting! I had 180-degrees the opposite experience with BM vs ML. See here:

I don't mean to kick BM when they're down (not that it matters any more); this is more to just endorse the quality of the ML product. It's a really nice OH! Except for the bee space in the upper chamber. But that shouldn't matter for a couple of days.

I'm having a youth group over to learn about bees next month, so that'll be my first opportunity to use it.

Before Brushy Mt. started making their own equipment they were getting it from Miller Bee Supply. That's where I get most of my equipment.

Hudson Valley Bee Supply in New York had some BM items a few months back. Might give them a call.
