If the first store will promise to buy all you produce, than fine. That would save you on delivery miles, if not??? What would he want you to do with the rest?

I believe that the more sources customers have for local honey, the more will be sold overall. Truly local honey is rare, when people find it, there is a good chance they will buy. And continue to buy, boosting everyone’s sales.
It’s a leap of faith for many store owners, but remember when Amazon started selling stuff other than books and introduced ratings. All the experts told Bezos he was a fool- people would use his site to check a product and buy elsewhere. Not only did that turn out to be an overestimate but now that rating system is in use nearly everywhere.
