Nice looking spring bees Eduardo!
Keep them out of the trees and good success this season.
I will try to do my job well to keep the bees in the hives. I also wish you a good season clyderoad.
I'll try to do my job well also.
Very nice. Good population, fantastic brood frame!
With our discussions on Opening the Sides of the Broodnest, I am wondering if you did OSBN on this hive or on any of your other hives? Or do you have enough drawn comb?
It would be great to see the initial comb that is built, to see how much old wax is used to make new comb.
Not bad Matthew.
I have not yet used OSBN. In these last two years I have managed to keep a good number of drawn comb for the next season. In the future I will use it as a strategy to prevent or delay swarming.
So far I have done it this way (picture below) but the OSBN seems to me more appropriate.
Would you mind if that photo is shared on the OSBN thread?
Thanks, that's much appreciated for your contribution.
Looking good! J
