    Default generator size?

what is the recommended cc or watts of a gen. for using the provap110, or what is the smallest watts or cc that would work?

I had one that was 950 watts. I dont think there are many smaller than this. That would probably be large enough to run 2 or 3 Provaps at once! Something like that would be good if you have to pack it in but they wont even run a skill saw so something larger might be more general use if weight is not the major concern.

I use an older model Honda 650 watt with a 100’ cord. No problems.

the provap110 requires 250 watts to run. I would recommend something larger than that amount. How much is up to you.

I'm not sure if this is feasible in your situation, but I use a 400watt inverter from harbor freight connected to my truck and a 100' extension cord. No issues. I'm only doing 8 hives so I've never taxed my truck battery. Just a thought.

I use the 400-800w from HF as well. A generator is just a heavy haul and sometimes won’t start. An inverter works EVERY time.

I use a 400w inverter hooked to the battery in my ATV. I just let the ATV idle and it'll keep the ProVap running like a Timex.
