    Default Glycerin Oxalic Dribble

On his website, Randy Oliver mentions in a January of 2018 update his use of glycerin in an oxalic dribble in place of sugar syrup.
Has anyone used with this method?

I have some nucs to treat and was going to use an OAD but am intrigued with this method as he (RO) thinks the bees are less likely to ingest the mixture as they donít like the taste of glycerin.

He used 44% glycerin. The numbers Iím looking at based on his writing would be:

    45g OA
    515ml glycerin
    612 ml water

Any input on this is greatly welcomed!

Hallo tikkay, I can't find the formula for dribbling gly-ao in Scientific Beekeeping website. Where can I find it? Have you tested it?

I tried it on some nucs and swarms this Spring. I did not do mite checks before or after the Oxalic glycerin dribble.

I just used it on new nucs to which I let the brood flutter before giving a queen. But I can't tell you if it's more or less effective than the sugar solution.

I used the method a few times and can’t speak to its efficacy.

    I started using OAV instead.
