    What possesses half of the bees and the queen to abandon a perfectly suitable nest and look for another?
    What is the underlying species survival purpose of a swarm?
    There’s a reason that springtime swarms are often referred to as ‘reproductive swarms’.

    I believe that most beekeepers understand this but maybe not all.
    Certainly most non beekeepers don’t.

    A state of tension in the hive. Young bees are stress-sensitive.
