    Default Tennessees Honeybees

I first became interested in Honey Bees early in life as I can remember my younger brother and I gathering all of the sweetest items from my parents house and pouring it out on the stumps, logs, trees etc... behind our home and just standing there when the Honey Bees finally found it in amazement.

I got my first hive when I was 23 and did my first paid cutout at 24. I am now 55 years old and full of wisdom among other things as I have been told and I still make mistakes as I feel to many people forget we are dealing with a living organism that even though they may have no brain near the size of what we do, they perform some very amazing feats and can adjust as things happen.

We are in Harrison, Tennessee very near to Chattanooga and enjoying what we do daily.

Hello drm1963... Yes indeed, the bees will teach you many good lessons if you let them. Sometimes it is a humbling thing and sometimes it’s a hard lesson to take. But then again, there are joyful lessons the bees teach us as well. Greetings from Murfreesboro, TN. Glad to see another Tennessee beekeeper here!
